Dan Andre starting playing drums at the young age of thirteen. He studied percussion at a local music store, and during his four years of training, Dan found himself playing Bethlehem’s prestigious Musikfest at the age of fourteen and fifteen respectively. After high school, Dan took lessons with NYC studio drummer Tommy Igoe (The Chieftains, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Art Garfunkel, Lauren Hill, The Lion King on Broadway, and many others).
Dan spent three years under the wing of Tommy Igoe, utilizing resources such as Buddy Rich’s Snare Drum Rudiments, Rockin’ Bass Drum, John Riley’s Art of Bop Drumming, Tommy Igoes’ Groove Essentials, Gary Chaffee’s Linear Time Playing, Louis Bellsons’ Reading Book, Roy Burns Advanced Rock Drummin, among others.
At the age of twenty Dan landed a permanent gig with a working cover band called Full Effect and continues to play the East Coast. From weddings and clubs, to private functions, Dan is no stranger to preforming live, from New Jersey to Maryland and Virginia.
At twenty-three years old, and close to five years of teaching all ages and styles, Dan brings excitement and a fresh approach to all his students.
