Michael Saunders, raised in the Lehigh Valley, has been studying brass instrumentation and
technique for nearly 10 years.
His musical journey as a brass musician started as a beginner trombonist for Liberty’s Grenadier Band. During his time in high school, he studied closely with Greg MacGill and Kevin Long, his musical mentors.
After graduating high school, Michael continued his musician journey by studying music at Moravian College. During his collegiate career, he had the opportunity to study classical and jazz techniques from Ralph Brodt III, Dr. Neil Wetzel, Tony Gairo, H. Carl Hess, and many other accomplished musicians. While a student, Michael also served as the Fraternity Education Officer for Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, America’s oldest and largest musical fraternity.
Over his musical career, Michael has had the pleasure of performing with artists such as Robin Eubanks, Phil Woods, and Bob Dorough. He also has performed with the Bethlehem Municipal Band, the Nazareth Community Band, and the famed Allentown Band. He currently performs as a tenor in the College Hill Moravian Church choir as well as the Moravian Unitas Chorale.
Michael looks forward to helping you on your musical journey!
