The date was October 1, 2004, when a small strip mall on Water Street in Hellertown Pennsylvania became home to Saucon Valley Music. With four lesson rooms and an equal amount of instructors in their arsenal, Saucon Valley Music set out to become Lehigh Valley’s premier lesson studio.
Within two years word spread quickly about the quality of musicianship and instruction, and SVM found themselves with eight instructors and rapidly outgrowing the current space. Saucon Valley Music immediately began looking for a larger space, and after years of trying to find the perfect location they landed at 1236 Main Street in Hellertown, PA.
With 1700 square feet of space, a 26-space “off-street” parking lot, and front/rear entrances, Saucon Valley Music is now able to offer a variety of musical instruction.
Our Goal
We strive to teach music in a fun but structured manner. No two students are alike, so we incorporate reading music, technique, theory, and performance into every lesson. Some students may just want to learn their favorite song while others may want to dive into theory and performance. Our instructors will customize each lesson to accommodate the student’s needs.

At Saucon Valley Music we understand that not everyone wants to perform, and are content just playing as a hobby or for friends and family. We teach all levels and ages, from beginner to pro from ages 4 to 104. Our oldest student is currently 91 and our youngest was 3 1/2 and recently turned 4.
Our Instructors
We are very particular when it comes to choosing our instructors. All of our teachers are professional musicians with years of experience in teaching who read music, perform regularly, and have varying degrees in music, teaching, and performance.
Most of our instructors have been with us for over 5 years and the original 4 teachers we had when we opened are still teaching here today.
Our instructors are professionals with children and families of their own and understand the time and patience involved with teaching an instrument. They will discuss the student’s progress with the parent before and after the lesson and make suggestions. Each instructor is very flexible with scheduling conflicts or missed lessons and will work with the student and parent to make up missed time.
Our Mission
Music lessons are the most important part of our business. We want the student and the parents to feel comfortable during their lessons. We have a spacious waiting room, flat screen TV, Free Wifi, complimentary coffee, and games to make your time here enjoyable.
We charge a monthly fee for lessons which is due on the first lesson of the month and unlike most other music schools we do not charge “late fees” or “registration fees.” We understand that sometimes you are busy and can forget to bring your payment. We also have rental instruments in stock and repair technicians in-house for most instrumental repairs for your convenience.
